Anghiari

Elected one of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia", Anghiari. Our visit begins with the battlements walkway, which has been recently brought to light, passing below the circular apse of the church of Sant’Agostino, continuing towards the Camaldolese Abbey of St. Bartholomew, the most ancient church in Anghiari, with its special architectural structure (almost certainly the first building was a rupestral church), the Palazzo Pretorio, the Prepositura, featuring a glazed terracotta work of art by Andrea della Robbia and paintings dating back to the 16th and 17th century (Deposition by Domenico Puligo and Last Supper and Maundy by Solignani). The visit of the historic town centre can be completed within the Museum, which reports the life and traditions of Anghiari and of the Tiber Valley, that is the Museum of Popular Traditions of Palazzo Taglieschi.

The cost of admission tickets is not included in the fee required for the itinerary.
